skewered

so this weekend i spent another weekend with mat. on friday he and i headed to corona's and scabby's house for movies and beers. we watched "Bowling for Columbine" -- finally! -- and all i have to say is that i am highly disturbed.

we left at about midnight or something cray-zay like that, and i showed mat "run lola run" ... that boy hasn't seen *ANY* good movies. it will be fun to show him what he's been missing outside the land of Conan and the Terminator trilogy [ ... well ... he's seen a lot more and better movies than those, but i like to tease him anyway ]

the next day we headed to aliston to see my girl [ who i was calling "rizpickles" 'cause that's her diary name, but *now* i'm gonna call her sumpin' else, somepin better ] and that is ... um ... dammit! for now i'm just gonna call her schmoopie. so we grabbed corona and headed to schmoopie's and spent the day barbecuing, laying in the sun, taking long walks, consuming dairy queen and giggling. we had some beers at the local "bar and grill" and then had to call it a night 'cause corona had to work in the morning.

highlights of the drive home were peeing in a bush, and singing LOUDLY to retro tunes on the radio.

after watching SNL "milk milk lemonade! this is where the fudge is made!" i was dead tired. went to bed.

the next day i decided to show mat kensington market. on the way there, we passed corona's work, and dove in so we could say hi and mat could stock up on english chocolate bars. while i was there, i impulsively decided to get my labret pierced, so we headed down to way cool and about 20 minutes later, i had another hunk of metal sticking out of my face.

i love it ... it rawks ... it's a little big right now, but until it heals it needs to be bigger to allow for swelling, etc. i am going to change it in about 2 months to something small and cute and subtle that also wont click against my teeth when i'm eating. this brings the grand total of hunks of metal in my head to eight, with five in my ears, one in my nose, my tongue, and now my labret. got into work today and the bosses didn't say shit. then again, i've gone home from work one night with black hair and come back in the next day with pylon orange hair and they would never say anything then, either, so why would i expect anything different ...?

would be nice if i could be so lucky with my mom, though, who told me i looked "horribly ugly" when i came home with a nosering. my birthday dinner (in one week! Wheee!) is going to be fun ... although isn't it some kind of law that you can't be called ugly on your birthday ...? it should be.

went out for dinner with mat at the last temptation, and on our way back to queen street, we passed the park by kensington market, where there was a dj spinning [ cool! ] and kids playing hackey, and this girl, who was dancing to the music. she had three hula hoops and she was spinning and spinning them to the music, never stopping once for three long songs. it was amazing, hypnotizing, even. we sat and watched her until she stopped. i loved her dreads and raccoon tail and free spirit. *swoOn*

graeme dropped by for drinks and swings and monkey bars after that. it's his birthday on tuesday, and we're planning a dinner party for him. it should be awesome. i can't wait!

this is not me, but it's the same piercing. when my computer is fixed, i'll post a picture of my now "holey-er than ever" face.
