the land of slack

yah yah yah i have been slacking i havent made any entries in a while, and thats because ive been sooo busy! yes i have my life back! FINALLY ! wheee!

so i guess i will start with last weekend. scabby spikes brother, who is dating my corona came to toronto from london and brought us back to their parents house, so that the celebrations of spikes birthday could continue. highlights included going to j and ks house for some drinking games and a sampling of the new metallica cd um ... yah ... ugh ... and a dinner at east side marios where spike was utterly embarrassed as the staff sang him happy birthday and a very nice lady made him a very large balloon hat. hehhe ... if only my camera was working when they were singing to him .. his face was hilarious, standing with his arms crossed and his giant balloon hat, he looked as though he was waiting for a bus.

i mentioned that to him afterward and he said um ... yah ... i just wanted someone to take me outta there! ... i love embarrassing people on their birthday ...!

wednesday spike, lou and i headed out to the rivoli to see a band called soviet, and were disappointed with the turn out and the opening bands. also, soviet only played a total of about 8 songs, even with their two encores. then again, how many songs would you play if you came from new york to toronto to play to about 30 people ...?

their music is really good, though ... check it out ...!

the rest of the week was pretty low key ... shopping at dollarama for junk food and comet, having neil over for coke and cookie dough, and desperately trying to find something to do at work. but at least i got out of the house for a couple of days, which is good fuggin news.

how boring is this entry ...?

in other news ... i dont know if diaryland is doing this i dont remember ever seeing this on my mac at work while i was slacking and reading other peoples diaries and not working but in some diary entries that i have been recently reading, i have seen certain words underlined in yellow ... and when you roll over these links they have a little message for you, encouraging you to click on them and go to their site, which is some how related to the word.

i first noticed it while reading rizpickles diary. shed written something about her divorce, and when you rolled over the word divorce which had been highlighted it said find your perfect mate at matchmaker.com!! or something stupid like that.

am i the only one that thinks that this is completely inappropriate ...? *shrug * ...

i recently re-did the graphics for rizpickles diary, so click on her link if you want to check it out. shes staying with me this weekend, for girl talk and copious amounts of wine. will tell you about it later, alligator!

i am getting so so boring

i should write when i am more in a creative mood

i mean, really ...!
