multicoloured chunder

big bad gumcorona had a shift today at sugar mountain ... violet and i visited half way through the shift, so corona came out and had her break with us. we drank cokes on the tequila bookworm patio in the sun, today the weather was absolutely divine.

after work, she dropped by with a giant offering bag of sour gumballs and rosebuds

[ "mmmmmm ... rosebuds ... teacher, mother, secret lover .... ..." ]

after savouring some rose-buddy chocolately goodness (they are best if you stick two together bottom-to-bottom and suck them down to oblivion) we decided that we were going to eat *all* of the sourballs and create gigantic nasty pieces of sourgum that we were convinced would eventually become self-aware and start to take over the world.

so as soon as we would lose flavour in one of our hunks of sourgum, we promply would add another to the mix and then another and then another

[ green apple ones are the worst by the way ... there were times when I thought my face would implode from their toxic sourness ]

mooseheadygummywe tried blowing bubbles until our faces were sticky messes. we made giant gum-cables, and compared the colours of our tongues and our gum-lumps [ my gum was a lovely khaki at one point, where hers was more the shade of over-used silly putty, we both had kind of greenish-blackish tongues ] ... the whole time i was reminded of how my grandmother when I was a kid after catching me trying to make the "world's biggest gum" by stuffing an entire pouch of "Big League Chew" into my mouth over an entire day would tell me that i would surely "get lock jaw!!" ... heheh ... we're immature, but dammit, we have fun.

after a while, the novelty began to wear off. our jaws were aching from the mega-gum and the sourness that was threatening to cave our faces in. we were sticky, and the sugar was starting to get to us. corona flops back into her chair. "i am going to barf. seriously. do you think I'll have candy coloured puke???" which sent us into a fit of nauseaus giggles. it was time to retire the gum.

you gotta admit, though ... that's some fine lookin' hunks of gum right there.
