lookin california feelin minnesota

so this morning

(if you wanna know)

i slept in

so I was late

but my boss ain't here

so it's all good ...

...

but

i had to catch the later bus

and it's full of very very strange characters

you see

my work is very very close to a mental institution

and the bus i take in the morning is the most direct route from the subway to the institution

so often i am sitting next to straaaaaange people

people who are swearing at their shoes

and talking to themselves

and wearing helmets

and sneering at old ladies

and think i am the antichrist 'cause of how i dress

and i understand that it's not their fault

and that their lives are probably filled with a lot of pain 'cause of their mental afflictions

but it sure does make for an interesting commute some days

and a scary commute on others

...

i am listening to SOUNDGARDEN "A Sides" today and reading the last five pages of "The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster just 'cause one of my bestest ghoulfriends suggested it 'cause it was her favourite children's book

...

back to work
